“Medicine shops will-remain open . . . the city corporation did not talk to us about its decision regarding this issue. We will talk to them soon about it,” said the health minister while talking to journalists after a meeting at his secretariat office,” said Zahid-Maleque.
Responding to a question, he said the health service is an emergency one. The minister does not rearrange timings for hospitals, he said, adding that only civil service offices will remain open from 8 am to 3 pm and hospitals will maintain their own timings.
Earlier, Dhaka South City Corporation in a notice said the drug stores in the capital will remain open till 12 am starting from September 1 and the medicine shops near hospitals will be allowed to remain open till 2 am.
