All citizens practice their respective religions’ freely and peacefully, a right guaranteed by the Constitution of Bangladesh,” he said these at a discussion on the occasion of the 158th birth anniversary of Ray Saheb Takur Panchanon Barma held on the ground of Paralbari in Debiganj upazila of the district on Friday as the chief guest.

Dr Bashonta Kumar Roy, former President of Bangladesh’ Kattrio Samittee, Upazila nirbahi officer(UNO) of Debiganj Golam Ferdous, central Jubo League member and minister’s son Barrister Nahian Navid Koushik, among others, spoke it. A large number of Hindu communities were present at the programme.
