PM opens Hajj-Umrah conference, fair, The first-ever National Conference on Hajj and Umrah Management-2022 and the Hajj and Umrah Fair were officially opened by the prime minister today in the nation’s capital. From her official residence Ganabhaban, she launched the event at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center through a virtual platform. The conference and fair were organized by the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) and the Religious Affairs Ministry.

The event’s goals include giving pilgrims accurate information about the hajj, educating them about modern technology-based hajj management, permitting direct communication with Hajj authorities, and lessening the impact of middlemen and con artists.
In the conference, there would be two sessions on “e-Hajj Management and Route to Makkah Initiatives” and “Hajj and Umrah Management: Achievements and Actions needed.”

The three-day hajj and umrah fair is open daily from 10 am to 8 pm and features 150 stalls and pavilions set up by various Hajj agencies, financial organizations, and the relevant authorities. Bangladesh is the fourth-largest nation in the world sending hajj pilgrims to Makkah.
More than 90% of Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims and 100% of Bangladeshi umrah pilgrims travel under private administration to Saudi Arabia. Md. is the state’s minister of tourism and civil aviation. State Minister for Religious Affairs Mahbub Ali, Md. At the ceremony’s opening, other speakers included Faridul Haque Khan, Religious Affairs Secretary Kazi Enamul Hassan, Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Issa bin Youssef Al-Dahilan, and HAAB President M Shahadat Hossain Taslim.
