Momen urges Bahrain to recruit more workforces from Bangladesh, Dr. AK Abdul Momen, Bahrain’s foreign minister, urged the country today to hire more skilled and semi-skilled workers, including IT specialists from Bangladesh. According to a press release from Bahrain’s foreign ministry, he made the appeal during a private meeting with Dr. Abdullatiff bin Rashid Al-Zayani, the country’s foreign minister, in Manama.

They talked about exchanging land for the development of Embassy chancery buildings in both counties throughout the discussion. Dr. Momen commended Bahrain’s government for housing a sizable number of Bangladeshi expats there. He gave the foreign minister of Bahrain a briefing on Bangladesh’s socioeconomic progress under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

They emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, the economy, culture, and tourism as well as the need to make it easier to obtain visas for visitors and family members of expatriates who have been left stranded due to the COVID pandemic. The Manama dialogue, which will take place on November 18–19, 2022, will also be attended by Foreign Minister Dr. Momen.
