Bangladesh go goal feast as Prity slams double hat-tricks, In their second match of the SAFF U-15 Womens Championship, held today (Monday) at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur, Suravi Akanda Prity slammed a brilliant double hat-trick as Bangladesh bounced back from their previous match defeat to thrash Bhutan by 9-0 drubbing. After scoring her maiden hat trick against the same opponents in the tournament’s opening match, Prity achieved her second hat trick in the ongoing competition.

Bangladesh’s decisive victory on the day propelled them to the top of the standings with six points from three games, while Bhutan, who is currently last with zero points after playing the same number of games, has yet to open its account. While Nepal has six points as well, they are one match behind Bangladesh in the standings and are in second place.
There are only three nations taking part in the competition. After losing three games, Bhutan has already left the competition. The only game Bhutan will play versus Nepal will be a ceremonial contest set on Wednesday, September (Nov 9). The match between Bangladesh and Nepal on November 11 will essentially serve as the final if Nepal is successful in defeating Bhutan in that match. In order to win the championship, Bangladesh must defeat Nepal in that match. To win, though, the hosts must also have a numerical advantage over Nepal in terms of goals scored.

Apart from Suravi Akanda Prity’s six goals in the match, Nusrat Jahan Mitu, Ayesha Akter and Thunuye Marma supported her with a lone goal each for Bangladesh who led the first half by 4-0 goals. Prity scored all her six goals in the 15th, 22nd, 24th, 45+1st 46th and 87th minutes while Nusrat Jahan Mitu, Aysha Akter and Thunuye
Marma scored one goal each in the 55th, 66th and 80th minutes respectively for Bangladesh in the one-sided affairs.Earlier, Bangladesh, rode on Prity’s a brilliant hat-trick, made a flying start in the championship crushing lowly Bhutan by 8-0 goals but went down a solitary goal defeat to Nepal in their second match of the championship.
Bangladesh will play their match against Nepal on November 11 at the same venue.Apart from host Bangladesh and Bhutan, Nepal is the third team who are participating in the double league basis tournament. The top team of the table will emerge as champions.
